This short course is designed specifically for UK Transnational Education (TNE) students based in China. Delivered through bilingual and immersive learning, the course introduces students to the key concepts, terminology, and practices of UK higher education (HE), including academic regulations and academic integrity.

The course emphasises active teaching and learning through proactive participation, encouraging students to engage in discussions, collaborative activities, and reflective exercises. By experiencing different teaching approaches commonly used in UK universities—such as seminar-based learning, group projects, and critical inquiry—students will gain practical insights into how learning takes place in a UK HE context.

In addition, study skills essential for academic success—such as critical thinking, independent learning, and effective communication—are embedded throughout the course. Students will also benefit from case studies and stories from TNE graduates, who share their real-life experiences, challenges, and achievements in navigating UK higher education within China.

Overall, this course equips Chinese students from diverse educational backgrounds with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive in their UK higher education journey in China.
